Aiki Productions is a Montana based company focusing on bringing you the best in martial art instruction. It was started by Tony Gamell and Alain Burrese when they created the goal to become a positive influence in the martial art community. Both Tony and Alain lived and traveled throughout Asia, and have strong convictions regarding the positive characteristics found in traditional martial arts. Aiki Productions recognizes that martial arts mean different things to different people. Martial arts can be practiced for sport, exercise, self-defense, a way to better yourself, and other reasons unique to each individual. Our mission is to create products and a website that will help those practicing martial arts or following the martial way become better in whatever focus their training emphasizes.
We produce top quality instructional DVDs to help martial artists learn and improve in their arts, or to teach people how to be safe and defend themselves. However, Aiki Productions does more than just produce martial art DVDs. Through our website, aikiproductions.com, we provide articles, audio podcasts, and video clips to fellow martial artists. These will focus on various topics, including self-defense, training and conditioning, different styles, different countries, the history of various martial arts, and so forth. Our goal is to help other martial artists become better and to improve lives through martial arts.
The podcasts will contain a variety of interesting audio recordings. Because of our time in Asia and practicing of Asian martial arts, we want to share different stories, folk tales, and legends from Asia. These stories are interesting, entertaining, and often contain a moral. In addition, it helps us learn a little more about the countries the various Asian martial arts come from. Our strongest connections are with Japan and Korea, but we will also be including things from China and other Asian countries. As we grow, we may include martial arts from countries other than Asia as well.
We will also be conducting interviews with various martial artists. These include competitors, authors, and other martial artists that have interesting things to share regarding the arts. We will also be sharing views, philosophies, and various ideas that come from different martial arts or about the arts themselves.
We will continually add articles to our site to bring you interesting and educational material to help with your training in the martial arts. These articles are for you education and enjoyment. You will see articles about a variety of martial art topics by known martial artists and authors and by some you may not know yet, but have something of value to tell people.
We believe there are many quality martial artists and instructors out there that have something to offer others. Aiki Productions is an avenue for martial art instructors to teach others through writing articles for the site and developing instructional DVDs. If you have an idea for a DVD, please see the submission guidelines. If you have an article that you would like to see published on the Aiki Productions website, please e-mail it to us. (Word format is most preferred)
